The Fringe exhibition “Walking Thinking Walking” is currently showing at the Hughes Gallery, Fullarton Park Centre, 411 Fullarton Road, Fullarton. Open Daily 10.00am-4.00pm. My work explores how the environment and its rhythms affect our behaviour. Rhythm is found in urban life and movement. In all biological life forms, and the pulses of our bodies such as heart rate, breathing and pace of walking. My residency in Adelaide’s Mt Lofty Ranges Cleland WiIld Life Park has been a very valuable experience. For the month of November, I have walked the trails, talked to people from all over the world and listened to their stories. I have engaged children visiting the Outback Centre in the progress and processes of the work. As a Walking Artist, my role has extended beyond being just an observer of natural rhythms to being an active participant in natural rhythmic processes within a bushland setting. The latest paintings will be featured in my next solo show “Walking, Thinking Walking”. It is part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival for 2014. It will be held at the Hughes Gallery, Fullarton Park Community Centre, 411 Fullarton Road, Fullarton 5063. The exhibition will run from 13th February 2014 – 16th March 2014. The focus is on multiple forms of rhythms in the environment and how they impact on human behaviour. Most of the paintings will be a direct result from my current residency at Cleland Wildlife Park.
